The greddy copy ones are getting quite good now. When they first hit the market the castings were crap but now they are better.

Here's one that i picked up second hand.

The bloke that i bought mine off of bought his from repco, but it was a chromed one (which is why the paint didn't stick to the manifold because he didn't sand blast the chrome off). He had all the gasket surfaces re machined to make sure they were flat; which i'd suggest doing with the cheaper ones. The castings on that eBay one look a bit rougher than the one i have.

on the back of the standard plenum there is some kind of sensor..do most greddy styles allow for this??? also the 1 inch pipe that goes from the plenum to the intake pipe just befo the bov on the standard cross over pipe...what happens to this???

The rear sensor as you ahve called it is the AAC valve and is located on the rear of the factory intake manifold. The other hole is where you hook the hose for the cold start air regulator.

i think you mean 'vulture' motorsports mate. ive got a vulture motorsports rb25 plenum, havent put it on yet (will be in a week or two) but looking at it, it looks real good for the price, very happy when i saw it out of the box.

sorry mate, realised what id said today when i read over it, ive been talkin to the guy and they seem pretty nice...keep me posted on ho it fits up, definetely looks like the go so far..

i realised later it was the aac valve as ive had ta replace it before..the cold start hose is obviously the one that connects above the the stock AAC position what hose are you going to replace this with to fit the new position?? im no where near adelaide so once its off its not very likely that i could go to a local parts shop and find what i need so ill sort all of it out now.

what was the overall price in the end?? like $550

there are two air control devices (for idle) one is the AAC that makes slight adjustments to the regular idle and then there is the air regulator that steps the engine up ~500 rpm on cold start.

This is what it looks like (well on CA's anyway but i think they are all basically the same);

This takes air from before the throttle body like the AAC and infact with the CA's it's from the same source and then just T'd off.

Does anyone have any feedback on the vulture plenum? like does it fit properly without having to be machined etc
